Overcoming Failure

Some of the worst times in life can be changed around for the better. We all stumble and fall, and when we do we want to give up. Thing is we can give up if we choose to. We can live in that failure and lick our wounds, so to speak for the rest of our lives. We can believe what the world tells us about ourselves or we can believe what the Lord says. These affirmations are for those low times when you have failed once or many times. Never give up. The Lord is on our side and we win if we don’t lose heart!

Dear Lord, give me the strength to continue my walk with You. Never let my failure be for nothing but let me learn from it.

I count it joy when I fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of my faith produces patience. I will let patience have its perfect work, that I may be perfected and complete, lacking nothing. Right now You are perfecting me, giving me wisdom as I am asking for it and I know you will give it liberally and without reproach. I’m asking in faith, with no doubting, I will not be like the sea driven and tossed by the wind. I will not be double-minded and I am stable in all my ways.

Lord I am blessed, I will not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, I will not stand in the path of sinners, nor will I sit in the seat of the scornful. My delight is in You Lord and on Your word I will meditate day and night. I am like a tree that is planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither and whatever I do will prosper.

Lord, I if I fall down, I will get up again. And when I go the wrong way I will turn around and I will come back.

I am not like the dog returning to its vomit. I will not keep doing the things that make me fall. I will learn from those things. When I am down I will not stay down I am learning from the very things that would destroy me and these things are making me strong.

I am learning and overcoming any affliction that would attack me. I am strong in You Lord

Lord, You are watching me, You know my strength is limited, but I am doing my best to keep Your word, and I will not deny Your Name. I know You are placing before me an open door that no one can close.

When I was in the pit of destruction you drew me out of it. You are setting my feet upon a rock, and making my feet secure. You are putting a new song in my mouth, and song of praise to You Lord. Many are watching and fear, I put my trust in You.

Lord, You have not given me a spirit of fear, You are giving me a spirit Power, a spirit of love, and a sound mind.

O Lord, I draw near to Your throne of grace with confidence. I know You are giving me mercy and grace so I can stand in my time of need.

I will stand strong and courageous, I will not be afraid or tremble, for You are my God and You go with me, You will never fail me or forsake me.

Lord, You are my confidence and You keep my foot from being caught.

I know You cause all things to work together for good because I love You and I am called according to Your purpose.

I will not fear Lord because You are with me, I will not be anxious for You are my God, You strengthen me, You help me and You uphold me with Your righteous right hand.

Lord, I will take every failure whether it is my falling into sin or failure at a job, or with my family, whatever it may be and I ask You to teach me from that. So I can turn my failures into victories. Lord give me the courage to stand again and go another round. I will win, I cannot fail because I will never give up. Today is a new day, and Your mercies are new every morning, no matter how many times I fail or let my loved ones down I will stand again and keep trying until I have that victory in Christ. I will remember it is not by my might or my power but it is by Your Holy Spirit Lord. Thank You

Amen
