What Is An Declration ?

Declarations are intentional words spoken over your life, your circumstances, and your health. They are not merely statements—they are expressions of faith that align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with truth.

As written in Book of Job 22:28:
“You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.”

A declaration is what you choose to speak over your life. In moments of sickness or difficulty, do your words reinforce the problem—“I am so sick”—or do they align with God’s promises—“I am healed in Jesus’ name, and by His blood I am made whole”?

What we repeatedly speak begins to shape what we believe. Over time, our words influence our mindset, and our mindset influences our reality. This principle works in both directions. Repeated statements of defeat—“We can’t do this,” “We will never make it,” “There is no hope”—reinforce discouragement. In contrast, speaking truth from God’s Word—“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” “All things are possible for those who believe,” “God has plans to give me hope and a future”—builds faith, confidence, and expectation.

Which declaration will produce life? The one rooted in hopelessness, or the one grounded in God’s truth that brings light into every situation?

At In His Hands Ministries of Texas (IHHM), we have developed a series of scripture-based affirmations, or declarations, organized by topic. These are personalized scriptures designed for daily reading and reflection. As you consistently speak and meditate on God’s Word, it begins to take root in your spirit—restoring hope, strengthening faith, and leading you toward a life marked by peace and joy.

Your words help establish the foundation of your life. In many ways, they set the boundaries within which you live. While situations and circumstances may change, the words you consistently declare have the power to shape your perspective—and ultimately, your path forward.
