Knowing The Will of God

By Treva Susuras

What is God’s will for my life? Have you ever asked yourself that question?

One thing I know for sure is that just because things don’t happen the way you think they ought to does not mean God doesn’t have a plan.

You can bet He has a plan for your life. You may not know what it is yet but He does. Everything that is and has happened to you up to this point in life is going to be used for His glory. I’m not saying that Jesus puts you through hell so He can get you on board with His plan. We know that Jesus only has good planned for you Jeremiah 29:11 but in order to get you to the point of turning your life around He allows the enemy the devil to put obstacles in your way to throw you off track and distract you. The enemy wants to destroy you but if you turn to the Lord during these times of testing in life God will turn what the devil ment to destroy you, or throw you off track into victories! You will gain the experience to overcome all the enemy has thrown at you. James 1:2-4

I know it sounds crazy, but the struggle you are going through right now, as soon as you gain the victory over it, or learn to conquer it, could be the very thing you are supposed to teach others how to overcome.

Take what you have learned in life, and have gained the victory over and use it to help others.

But first you must learn how to get through it victoriously. Remember the word says we are the victors not the victims.

Ya but how do I find God’s will for my life in all this? Well, the answer is to look for it in the bible. Scripture will always give us the answers.

God’s will always says to do the right thing. He says be kind, be loving, treat others with respect, pray, read the word and learn it and obey it, make disciples of others, share what you know with others, visit the jails, feed the hungry, give to the needy, put others before yourself. The word says to humble yourself and so on. If you follow these instructions, you will be in God’s will. The doors of heaven will open up and you will find your ministry. It might be serving at the church, or it could be cleaning for those that cannot clean for themselves. It could be teaching, preaching, or leading in some way. It might just be reaching out to those that are hurting or lonely. I know one thing for sure, you have to follow the will He clearly lays out for you and obey what He says, then, when the time is right, He will direct your path.

God’s will is for all to be saved 1 Timothy 2:3-4

All to be healed Isaiah 53:5
