Jesus is Waiting

By Treva Susuras

There are so many people in this world right now that are hurting, and yes this causes them to drink, do drugs, be angry, rage, and even causes panic attacks and so many other life controlling issues. Have you suffered with one of the above or even something else?

Let me tell you there is a way out of all this and that is through the promises of Jesus Christ. I am not saying if you believe (rely on, cling to, remain steadfast) in Jesus you will never suffer or have any problems again but what I am saying is that if you hang on to Him through the storm you will come out on the other side a better person. A stronger person, and the very thing the devil meant to destroy you will be the very thing that makes you stronger. You will be able to use whatever the devil throws at you to help others find truth and freedom.

Let’s say this, let’s just say you are struggling with addiction. So, you wait till you are stronger and no longer struggling till you go to church. I have heard so many people say, “oh, I can’t go to church right now, I am too much a sinner. The church walls would fall down” or I can’t stop my addiction and I have let God down. There is no way I can run to Him when I continue to sin. I’ve done too much….

Good news, God does not care what you have done, he knows you are not perfect, remember He made you. He sees everything you do and still He loves you. His mercies are new every day. Why? Because we sin daily, oh not on purpose but if we are not sinning physically, we are sinning in our thoughts.

We don’t wait to get cleaned up to come to Jesus. That will never happen. We come to Jesus and He cleans us up. He sets us free from sin and addiction. He gives us the inner healing we need because let’s face it, we have all had serious problems and never dealt with them.

It is time for us to get ourselves cleaned up and set free. We need to get past ourselves and on to helping set others free. Go to church, find a mentor. You might say “I have gone to church and received nothing but judgment from Christians.” Well if that is the case then shame on them because Jesus tells us to love one another and to lift one another up, to confess our sins to one another and be set free. So, if you are finding others are judging you find a new church. Be sure you are not the one judging them or yourself. Could be your guilt is making you feel judged and they have no clue what your doing. It’s a grey area your in. The only truth that matters is getting to know Jesus on a personal level. Go where you are being fed the word of God. Where you feel you can grow in Christ and do not keep your eyes on the people around you. Put your eyes on Jesus and let Him work it all out for you. There is no sin He will not forgive. He paid the price and you do NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR SIN OVER AND OVER. GUILT IS NOT OF GOD, IT IS OF THE DEVIL! So, if you have done something so horrible, know that if you confess your sin, and ask Jesus to forgive you, He will.

One thing is for sure, Jesus loves you no matter what you do. Drink? He loves you! Drugs? He loves you! Past sin? He loves You! What ever the problem, know that you may not be able to set yourself free, but Jesus can. Turn to Him and see what happens.

Do you hear the knock, knock, knock…? It’s Jesus standing at the door, knocking, will you open it?

God bless and have a great, blessed day!
